    Alain de Botton: Atheism 2.0

http://www.ted.com What aspects of religion should atheists (respectfully) adopt? Alain de Botton suggests a “religion for atheists” — call it Atheism 2.0 — that incorporates religious forms and traditions to satisfy our human need for connection, ritual and transcendence.

    Interesting perspective.

I’ve owned to several things that I’ve taken from religion with me into atheism.  Many of us who were raised religious, whether we admit it or not, have things from our old religions that we still hold to.

This is WELL worth the 20 minutes.  If you don’t listen to or watch Ted Talks, you really should.  They have some of the brightest minds in all fields, not only atheism, sharing amazing ideas that challenge you to think outside of your box.  Whether you agree or not, you’re always made to think, and that is a wonderful thing. ~ Kim

    To watch later.

    Wait? What?
